I’m a contributor to The Science Writers’ Handbook: Everything You Need To Know to Pitch, Publish and Prosper in the Digital Age (Da Capo Press, May 2013). The book was conceived and written by SciLance, a close-knit online community of more than 30 writers across the United States and Canada. I wrote a chapter called The Diversity of Science Writing and contributed a sidebar that talks about blogging and how I started this site, Webb of Science.

In addition, I am the Editor in Chief of the book’s companion website and blog, where we’re sharing additional writing tips, business advice, technology tools and favorite books to support the writing life.
